Better World with Wisdom

Lately people have been calling me "wise beyond my years" and "mature".  I admit that I have said this before about myself in past blog posts, as well, but it is strange hear from others.  I behold life from a different perspective than most young adults my age.  I have been through a lot of physical and medical setbacks in my short 17 years, which often results in what feels like emotional turmoil.  However, there are wiser than me out there in this world.  So, what is wisdom?  What is maturity?
        Wisdom is experience and everyone has experience, unless you are an infant of the world (which in that case I do not think you would be reading this).  If everyone has experience of some kind, with something or someone, than everyone is wise.  We should all offer our wisdom to the world and contribute in making a better community
         Maturity, however, is something we develop.  It is how we handle the experiences of life, how we control our emotions.  Granted, everyone is allowed to shower their heart with tears, but our decisions must be made rationally instead of emotionally.  We must be willing to take advice from others and follow it.
         With maturity and wisdom this world can flourish!

James 1:5New Living Translation (NLT)

If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.

Proverbs 3:13-18New Living Translation (NLT)

13 Joyful is the person who finds wisdom,
    the one who gains understanding.
14 For wisdom is more profitable than silver,
    and her wages are better than gold.
15 Wisdom is more precious than rubies;
    nothing you desire can compare with her.
16 She offers you long life in her right hand,
    and riches and honor in her left.
17 She will guide you down delightful paths;
    all her ways are satisfying.
18 Wisdom is a tree of life to those who embrace her;
    happy are those who hold her tightly.

John 3:16New Living Translation (NLT)

16 “For this is how God loved the world: He gave[a] his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
