The Race Between Mind and Body

My body and mind are always in a race, my body never seeming to catch up.  My mind knowing the intelligence, my body lacking the endurance.  I have always hated school for this reason: teachers giving pointless busy work and and quantitative based assignments that I always ran out of endurance completing.  I think most students have this problem.  We have lives outside of school, each with their own stressers and the pile of work added to this causes craziness.  Quality of work over quantity is what matters to me.
High school is a competitive battle ground, but instead of guns and explosives, weapons used are grade point averages and AP classes.   The game is who can take the most APs, get the highest GPAs, and BS their way through.  Some fight genuinely and work the battle ground without seeking shortcuts, which causes the soldier even more stress as they're missing home life.  But, the battle is a race between mind and body, for intellectually the soldier can handle it which is why she pushes herself so hard.
The worry and stress gets to us but we mustn't let it consume us.  We must learn what we can handle and balance body and mind.  The battle feild of high school does not determine our intellect.

28 Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”
Matthew 11:28-30

Hebrews 10:36New Living Translation (NLT)

36 Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.

Colossians 1:11New Living Translation (NLT)

11 We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy,[a]
