Some where it loud and proud! Others go about there day just being a human being; they don't want cause any inspiration porn. But, by talking at TED about how you don't want to be an inspiration is putting yourself out there to be perceived however people may view you. I appreciate the people who wear it proud like Maysoon Zayid. Acceptance is not going to happen unless we put ourselves out there.
We are not spectacles to make you feel better about your life, we do not want help unless we ask, accessibility should be a standard in the world. People with disabilities should be included in all because we are just people with thoughts, and feelings, and beliefs, and abilities all our own. You can tell from all my thoughts and feelings in this blog.
Unfortunately, I do not believe that blending in and inclusion will just happen. This minority must put ourselves so that it is known that we must have equal rights. Disability is the largest minority and one that anyone can join in an instant.
