The new normal

I have no idea what to write today, so I'm  going to tell you about my day.
I woke up at 5:40 this morning,  turned off and took off my BiPAP mask, and got dressed.  I did my cough assist.   I then had coffee, a bowl of cereal, and a green juice     At that point my mom took me to school.
My mom dropped me off in the back parking lot and my aide pushed me to the library.   Then I must didn't transfer from my manual chair to my power chair. I go throughout my day .…   at the end of my shortened day at school as of now I transfer back into my manual chair.
When I get home, I get comfortable,  transfer into a recliner, put auxin Jen long, and do my homework.  This is the new normal.

Reflecting the Light

4,152 people have viewed my blog!  Some of these views might account reading my blog every time I update.  Some of these views I know are my family, friends, and my parents coworkers.  A lot of these views account for people I do not even know.  I am touching thousands of lives with my words and God gave this gift to me so that I can give to you.
The trippie thing is that I started this blog for myself; to vent my feelings and experiences to the world.  If you have noticed, a lot of my posts start with a kind of philosophical idea, then goes emotional towards anecdote about my own life, and then on a positive note lately with some Bible verses at the end.  I end on a positive note to keep myself positive!  How was I to know that something for myself would end up helping so many people?
This past Sunday, at church, the pastor preached about reflecting the light of Jesus as Jesus reflects the light of God.  How as Christians we must be reflecting mirrors and must try to keep our mirrors as clean as possible.  There are people who just glow with kindness, as well.  People reflect the light of kindness, compassion, empathy, and love.  I think this glow and this reflection are important.
So, to all the lives I am touching, all the people I am inspiring.  To the people who see me I would like you to know that you are wonderful.   That you are never alone and that  your mirror shines with the reflection.

Galatians 1:10
Therefor, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone -- especially to those in the family of faith.

2 Timothy 3:16-17New Living Translation (NLT)

16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. 17 God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.

Ephesians 5:1-2

Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us[a] and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.

Safety and No Worry And Communication

We all see things differently.
We all hear things differently.
Each experience is our own,
Yet we try to connect.
We must connect.
Isn't it trippie!

We always worry about something.
Ourselves, others…
But we mustn't worry.
We will be safe.

Communication should stay open.
We must talk and converse.
We musnt worry, we are safe.

Proverbs 1:33New Living Translation (NLT)

33 But all who listen to me will live in peace,
    untroubled by fear of harm.”

Listening and Doing

19 Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry.

Proverbs 19:23 ESV / 31 helpful votes

The fear of the Lord leads to life, and whoever has it rests satisfied; he will not be visited by harm.

Matthew 6:25-34New Living Translation (NLT)

25 “That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? 27 Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?
28 “And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, 29 yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are.30 And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?
31 “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ 32 These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. 33 Seek the Kingdom of God[a] above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
34 “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.

Something Has Changed

Something has changed.  About me.  About the way I view the world.  I don't know what and I don't exactly why either, but something has changed… just a little tweet inside me, and I think I like it!
I have had people tell me that I am wise beyond my years.  I have people say that I am mature.  I have had people tell me that I have been through more than most of my peers, but as I come out of the darkness this time I have become more social and have become more outgoing.  I attribute my change to Larry.
Larry the mid-brain lesion would not accept his eviction notice; he put up quite a fight.  The only choice was to fight back.  I had to keep raising his rent until the bastard started to leave… but I was sick, boy was I sick.  I was scary, deathly sick for a while.  This battle was no joke.  This battle is no joke and I appreciate every day I am blessed with.  Every day must be lived to the fullest!
I attribute my faith in God to my change too.  My spirituality has grown over my fight with Larry and is growing everyday.  I have learned that worrying and stressing over death, school, or just anything is a waste of time because Gos has our steps planned.  We must live life fully and help others!

Proverbs 16:9New Living Translation (NLT)

We can make our plans,
but the Lord determines our steps.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18New Living Translation (NLT)

16 That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are[a] being renewed every day. 17 For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! 18 So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.

We Must Try and Slow Down

Sometimes I get tired.
When I get tired I get emotional and stressed,
Because of unfinished duties.
There is no time to relax,
In a world like today's.
Fast visually.
Fast audibly.
Fast moving.
We must try and slow down.

Kindness Through Words

Words are powerful, weather spoken or written.  Words to brighten someone's day, to break someone's heart, to annoy, to anger, to cause that beautiful thing we call laughter.  You must watch how you use them, though.  You must know your audience, you must know weather you are speaking or writing, you must know what your intentions are.  My intentions are to bring people up, to make people aware, and to share my knowledge.  I use my power for good!
All school year I have been taught how to negotiate in the real world and how to be a likable person.  I have been encouraged to brighten someone day through a random act of kindness.  I've been thinking, "I am a bright and kind person.  What do I need to do differently?"   I have always thought that a random act of kindness needed to be a physical task that you complete in order to help a person.  I have just realized that while helping or surprising someone with a physical is kind, you can also make a persons day by emailing a thoughtful message saying "you're the best".
It means the world to people to know that they are noticed for the good things that they do.  It means the world to be understood.  Words can do all this!

Luke 6:35English Standard Version (ESV)

35 But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil.

Ephesians 4:32New Living Translation (NLT)

32 Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.

Ephesians 4:29English Standard Version (ESV)

29 Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.
